Having a blog is, to me, like that scene in "The Jerk" where Navin Johnson discovers his name in the phone book. "The new phone book is here! The new phone book is here! This is the kind of spontaneous publicity I need. My name in print. That really makes somebody. Things are going to start happening to me now." Now I have a blog... and I must admit, I keep checking to see if it works- like Navin checked for his name in the phone book. Let the magic begin.

Gil Scott Heron says he loves the Barney Miller song that Quincy Jones did - Quincy Jones. If I could work with Quincy Jones, I'd die happy. I have a ton of his records. I love the stuff he did with Michael Jackson. Hell, I even like the theme song to "Barney Miller,"

I just discovered your blog. I learned of Pollack's Amazing Grace film a few years back, however, everything about it seemed to me a mystery.
I just wanted to thank you for being the one to finally introduce this documentary to the world. It is so important.
